Academic Counseling

College & Career Guidance

Our counselors have a combined 60 years experience in providing counseling in academic advisement. They maintain Individual Graduation Plans for each student on their caseload to ensure that each student is uniquely prepared for their plans after high school. We schedule with a "student first" mentality.

Social & Emotional Counseling

Each counselor has a speciality in supporting the social and emotional health of the students on their caseload. This begins with whole group activities to ensure students feel safe and accepted at Lumpkin County High School. Our counselors host peer mentor programs, group counseling meetings, and individualized check-ins with students as needs arise.
At LCHS, one of our main goals is to ensure each student has a plan for what they will do after high school. Our counselors have a wealth of knowledge about college & career readiness to share with each student through classroom instruction, junior and senior conferences, parent nights, and video blogs.

Georgia HOPE Counseling

LCHS partners with a variety of local counseling referral services, including GA HOPE. This program is a partnership with Lumpkin County that we hope will increase access to affordable Mental Health Services. Students can be referred to the Georgia HOPE or other programs for more intensive and personalized social, emotional and mental health services throughout the school year. Students can be referred through their LCHS Counselor.
Limitations are the product of the world, possibilities the product of faith.  We can expect nothing more than what we believe possible.  Think big!
